Weather Policy

In the event of tropical cyclones, typhoons or rainstorms, the school's policy is to follow instructions given by the relevant authorities. If extreme weather occurs, please refer to the following tables which explain our school procedures. Please check the Education Bureau or Hong Kong Weather Observatory for further information.

 

Tropical Cyclone Warnings

 

Action to be taken

If Students are NOT YET at school.

If Students are ALREADY at school.

Hoisting No.1 to No. 3 signals

School is to operate as usual.

School is to operate as usual.

Hoisting Pre-No.8 / No.8 signal or above

School is to be suspended the entire day.

School Bus Arrangement:

Students using the school bus service will be bussed home at an appropriate time under safe conditions.

 

Parent Pick-up and Students who hold Self-go Cards:

Parents should pick up their children at school.

Lowering to No.1 or lowering all signals

School is to resume the next day

School is to resume with the next session unless previous announcement has been made to the effect that primary schools will be suspended for the entire day.

 

 

Rainstorm Warnings

When the Rainstorm Warning Notice is Posted

If Students are NOT YET at school.

If Students are ALREADY at school.

Amber

School is to operate as usual.

School is to operate as usual.

Red or Black

School is to be suspended the entire day.

School is to continue until the end of the normal school hours and conditions are safe for students to return home. Parents are permitted to pick up their children and take them home.
