| Details : | We are about to begin the Christian holiday of Easter which, this year, coincides with the Jewish Festival of Passover. These celebrations usually bring families together but this year, due to the dangers of Covid-19 and the need for social distancing, many families, sadly, will not be able to celebrate with each other. As terrible as this virus is, we need to find some hope, some purpose in all this. The cost to our community, both economically and socially, is immense but the greatest cost is if we do not gain any wisdom from the experience. It’s an opportunity to reboot our lives and our priorities as caring citizens of our planet. Perhaps, as we come out of this dangerous period, we can hope that we will become a more compassionate community where caring and decency are at the core of who we are as people and that we understand that we are all responsible for each other. These are the values that we seek to instill in every child and every parent who is a part of the WFJLPS community. Never has our message been more relevant than it is today. Please be safe and please be healthy and may we always meet in happier times. |
